casual science refers to naturally occurring surrealism preserved through the photography, and occasionally other mediums, by charlie camuglia.
i’m a photographer of spaces and people, photo lab tech, zine maker, book designer, and all around multi-disciplinary artist. i’m from nyc, but i’ve lived everywhere and nowhere. i’ve photographed creatives of all types, from groups of musicians to solo makers. i’ve designed and published over 7 zines of my personal photography, and designed countless others for other people. i run a press called themselves press where i publish zines by poc and queer artists and help others diy. check out themselvespress.com to learn more and see book design examples.
