spring honey with nat de paz

had the pleasure of shooting with poet, improv extroirdinare, and fashion icon nat de paz at randyland in pittsburgh! after showing her a few of the shots in camera, she squealed and exclaimed I’M FAMOUS!! and it was the cutest reaction anyone’s ever had to photos i made of them. i will remember it forever. you ARE famous, baby!

nat recently released a chapbook of poetry called the universe is quietly disowning us all and is rumored to be working on a new one. you’re going to want to follow her (@gnatpoet on ig) to keep up with all the good things she’s got going on! don’t forget to ask her if she has any chapbooks left, it truly is a lovely read! also, i printed and designed it - check out themselves press to see more of my printed works!

shop talk with carianne older

back in 2018 i invited carianne to the shop i worked at at the time and asked her to build me a table, you’ll never guess what happened next!

i know i don’t need to introduce you to portrait extraordinaire carianne older - better known as PEGGY SHOOTS FILM - but i will anyway just in case you been sleeping. learn more about her work here, buy a zine here (i designed and printed it - check out this reel showcasing some of the process!!!), and book a mentorship session here if you want to learn from this self taught, theater obsessed, multi-faceted creative!

all photos shot on lomography 800 35mm film. more from this shoot soon featuring our equally badass friend jessie!

yurié's island

yurié collins and i met for the first time in the spring of 2016 on a tiny little island between the boroughs neither of us had any business on. it was love at first collab and i have been obsessed with her ever since. i cannot get over how much creativity and hilarity is packed into this woman’s brain! when i tell you she literally predicted the pandemic 3-4 years ago and started writing a film about us future people still having to live our stupid little future capitalist lives throughout the earth’s demise… you’re not gonna believe me, but it’s true. it’s called SPONSORED and it’s in production and you’ll be able to see it soon! lemme drop a couple of her links for your convenience:

youtube - interviews from the streets of japan where she’s attempting to make peace with her home country

these shots are from our first shoot together in 2016. i’m slowly migrating some of my older portraits over to this site since i nixed the one i used to just showcase those. enjoy the faces and let’s shoot together!

tangerine dream with kaitlyn velez

off my mind by kaitlyn velez is a jam y’all. and this is the face behind the voice! working with kaitlyn velez and serenity sounds to make portraits for her upcoming single was about as fun as these photos look, i couldn’t put it any other way! kaitlyn, carly (art director + kv’s manager), and i just clicked and the sparkles sparkled! off my mind is now available to stream anywhere you listen to music, but you’re definitely going to want to check out the music video!

the winter dimension print box: new in shop

Winter comes naturally like these words should, and each year it gives us a new dimension. Without struggle, grand expedition, or a portal to pass through, the winter dimension comes and blankets itself upon us, transforming the familiar into a surreal, monochromatic version of its former self. For a few months we are wool-wrapped aliens existing in sharp and sparkling air — enchanted if we have chosen to accept it, or cold if we haven’t.

The Winter Dimension postcard print box set includes 15 photographs taken on 35mm film. Each image is a 4 5/8 x 6 7/8 gallery quality indigo print with a postcard back. Signed edition of 15.

Photos were taken between 2011-2017 on various 35mm film stocks and printed in 2018.
